Lukewarm response for two-day 'Hannu-Mela'

The two-day 'Hannu Mela', mango, jackfruit and other fruits fair, organised by HOPCOMS on the APMC premises in the city has received a lukewarm response from the public.
In the fair, varieties of mangoes, jackfruits, pineapple, sapota and other fruits were exhibited and sold. Around 12 stalls were set up in the fair, a majority of them were of mangoes. Many fruit vendors said that on the first day of the fair, there was less response; on the second day, people showed up and bought fruits. They said due to rain, less people came for the fair and many were not even aware about the mela, they added.
