Disburse edu and agri loans without hesitation: S'mogga ZP CEO to banks

ZP Chief Executive Officer N Hemanth said nationalised bank managers have to sanction education loans for meritorious students and loans for agriculture activities, construction of houses and other priority sectors without rejecting applications.

Presiding over a progress review committee meeting organised by district lead bank here on Wednesday, CEO Hemanth regretted that most of the bank managers failed to meet the target given to their banks except a few selected banks. Such negligence can't be tolerated in the coming days, he cautioned.

"Some private bank managers abstaining themselves from attending the district-level meeting confirms their misbehaviour," he said, adding services provided to people by such managers are also questionable.
