What is the burden of tuberculosis in the country?

According to India TB report 2024, 25 lakh patients with TB are notified annually which is 33% of the global TB notification rate. Our Sustainable Development Goal 2030 targets are 80% reduction in TB incidence, 90% reduction in TB deaths and zero catastrophic costs.

What are the challenges in eliminating TB?
