Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi, who was killed in an IED blast near the LoC on Tuesday, was to get married on April 5. According to family members, after attending a marriage in the family and overseeing the preparations of his marriage at Hazaribagh during a week-long holiday, he had left for Jammu and Kashmir on January 24 to join duty.
Captain Bakshi was martyred near the Line of Control in the Akhnoor sector of J&K on Tuesday. The blast claimed Naik Mukesh Singh Manhas and injured a soldier.
