NIT Tiruchy to set up ₹150-crore research and innovation hub

NIT Tiruchy (NITT) is setting up a ₹150-crore research and innovation hub that will focus on state-of-the-art technologies, including quantum computing, semiconductors, generative artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Of the total estimate, ₹100 crore will be used for the building, to be constructed on 20 acres of land on the campus, and the rest to purchase equipment. The initiative will expand NITT's entrepreneurship development and incubation programme.
