EXTERNAL Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Philemon Yang, the President of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), on Wednesday in New Delhi.
Yang, who arrived in India on Tuesday for a four-day visit at Jaishankar's invitation, expressed his appreciation for the discussions. In a post on X, Jaishankar shared, "It was a pleasure to meet President of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly Philemon Yang this afternoon in Delhi. We discussed various issues on the UN agenda, including the need for reformed multilateralism. We also exchanged views on regional, global, and developmental issues. I appreciate his leadership and guidance at the UN."
