THE farmers' grievance redressal meeting held at the revenue divisional office near the Tiruchy collectorate on Friday saw heated moments as participants raised a series of allegations, including those targeting co-operative bank authorities.
At the meeting chaired by RDO Arul, Ayilai Sivasuriyan, district secretary of the Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam affiliated with the CPI, complained that officials in agricultural co-operative banks were making loan application "unnecessarily difficult".
