Villagers carry sick man on makeshift stretcher for 8 km

DUE to absence of hospital and road connectivity, villagers of Tulasikere village in Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Chamarajanagar district carried a villager suffering from illness on a makeshift stretcher using a wooden pole and bedsheet from the village to a hospital in Kolathuru village in Tamil Nadu.
The incident took place when villager Putta was taken ill with high fever, vomiting and diarrhea. As the village had no hospital or proper road connectivity, the relatives and villagers immediately prepared a makeshift stretcher and carried the person on their shoulders for more than 8 km to reach the town.
