Landslide Disrupts Vehicular Traffic on Shiradi Ghat Stretch

Landslides occurred in two different places between Marnanahalli and Shiradi

The vehicular traffic on the Shiradi Ghat stretch on Bengaluru-Mangaluru NH-75 was disrupted on Monday with hundreds of vehicles parking on either side of the national highway for three hours.

Landslides occurred in two different places between Marnanahalli and Shiradi where the police camped to regularise the vehicle traffic.

The rain havoc continues in Hassan district due to heavy rain especially in Sakleshpur and Belur taluks.

Five families living on a hill station near Anemahal of Sakleshpur taluk urged the district authority to rehabilitate them as a landslide occurred near their houses.

Many roadside trees fell on the electric wire due to strong wind on main roads in Belur taluk.
