Krishi Kavach bags to reduce post-harvest loss of farm produce

Consumers can keep vegetables, fruits, and flowers fresh for a month

WITH the increase in post-harvest loss of perishable commodities like fruits and vegetables causing losses to farmers over the years, a former scientist at the DRDO-CFRL has come out with Krishi Kavach to reduce the post-harvest losses.

Ramakrishna has developed Krishi Kavach which will also add value for fresh produces including flowers for domestic use and export.

He recalled his work on Krishi Kavach for more than three years that is related to packaging for respiring or biochemically active agriculture products and commodities like fresh fruits and vegetables.
