Siddu highlights importance of education, social equality, humanity
CHIEF Minister Siddaramaiah delivered an emotional and powerful speech at a grand event in Doddabala village in Nagamangala, highlighting the importance of education, social equality, and humanity.
The event marked the revival of the historic Huchappaswamy Jatre (fair) after a gap of 39 years. As part of the celebrations, Siddaramaiah inaugurated a newly-constructed temple built at the cost of ₹1 crore.
Addressing a large gathering, Siddaramaiah reflected on his personal and political journey. "Victory and defeat are part of politics. I have lost four elections—twice to Parliament and twice to the Assembly," he shared candidly, adding with a smile, "When I became Finance Minister for the first time, some mocked me, saying I couldn't even count a hundred sheep. Today, I have presented 16 state budgets."
