Congress MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah brushed aside talk on change in guard and maintained that his father, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, will present three more budgets.
WITHOUT directly referring to the lobbying by various groups for the chief minister's and KPCC president's posts, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge here on Saturday advised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president DK Shivakumar to work together and not to go in opposite directions.
Launching the 'Kalyana Patha' project, aiming to lay roads in rural areas of Kalyana Karnataka at Katti Sangavi village (on the grounds of Dharam Singh Hospital for Mother and Children) near Jewargi, Kharge said people elect their leaders with a lot of expectations. It is the duty of leaders to fulfill people's aspirations. If leaders go in the opposite direction, how will they face their own people, he asked. Shivakumar was present at the programme, while Siddaramaiah, who was also expected to attend, could not make it.
