BJP slams cops for filing cases against Hindu activists

FORMER CADA chairman and BJP leader G Nijagunaraju has accused the police of harassing Hindu activists by registering cases against them for allegedly bursting crackers during Hanuma Jayanthi celebrations.

BJP national general secretary B L Santosh on Tuesday stressed the foresight of Veer Savarkar in envisioning a militarily strong India and drew parallels to the recent Operation Sindhoor.

Speaking during a talk on 'Savarkar's Vision of Indian Army and Operation Sindhoor' organised by Savarkar Pratishtana Mysuru, Santosh recalled that Savarkar, a revolutionary thinker, consistently underlined the importance of military preparedness in safeguarding the nation.

"Savarkar once said that every child should undergo at least one or two years of military training after high school or college. His vision was not just about freedom, but about protecting freedom," Santosh said.

Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam incident, Santosh said it was a grim reminder of the Partition era, where Hindus were targeted based on faith.
