Babus Say No To LED; Incandescent Bulbs To Illuminate Mysore Palace

WITH the world-famous Dasara festivities around the corner, the Palace Board has said no to LED bulbs, and has decided to stick to incandescent bulbs to illuminate the 113-year-old Mysore Palace.
The Palace and its illumination are a major attraction as it is illuminated by around 98,000 bulbs that glow in a bright golden colour.
Although LED bulbs have hit the market, the board is thankful to Mysore Lamps for producing incandescent bulbs for the Mysore Palace. These bulbs will be replacing 12,000 defunct ones ahead of the Dasara festivities.
