ADDITIONAL Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr G Santhosh Kumar, during a review meeting of various departments related to SC/ST communities, directed officials to provide all necessary facilities to pourakarmikas.
"We have constituted various committees to prevent atrocities against SCs and STs. Committees must convene meetings every three months. From January till March 12, seven cases under SC/ST Act, one suicide and one sexual assault case were registered and a compensation of ₹5.1 lakh was released," he said.
