Nestled in the heart of Brahmavar, SMS Pre-University College has stood tall as a beacon of education since its humble beginnings in 1953.

RAHMAVAR, UDUPI DISTRICT — Established by the Orthodox Syrian Catholic Educational Society and rooted in the vision of community upliftment, this institution has grown from a small high school to a comprehensive educational hub, serving thousands of rural students in Karnataka.
SMS PU College began its journey under the stewardship of Rev. Fr. P.G. Koshy, with a singular mission: to bring high school education to underserved communities. The institution's foundation was built on an earlier legacy — the Cosmopolitan Higher Primary Schools in Brahmavar (1916) and Uppinakote (1923) — both initiatives of SMS Cathedral under Vicar Fr. R.F.Z. Noronha.
