THE Action Committee on 'Save Waqf, Protect Constitution', Udupi district, which had planned to stage a protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 in Udupi on May 13 has called it off in the wake of Indian Army's strike against terror camps in PoK and Pakistan.
Mushtaq Hennaibail, member of the committee, said here on Thursday that there is a difference of opinion with the Union government's decision on waqf properties, but when the nation is fighting against terrorists, the committee decided to support the Indian Army and the Centre.
