Hackers Now Target 'Matru Vandana' Scheme Beneficiaries

Cyber fraudsters are now targeting the beneficiaries of the Union Government's Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) scheme.

Anganwadi workers in Mangaluru have alleged a data breach on the 'Poshan Tracker' application.

The victims have lodged complaints with the authorities about the scam. Under the Matru Vandana scheme, providing financial assistance to pregnant and lactating women, the benefit is available to a woman for the first two children, provided the second child is a girl. In the case of the first child, the amount of Rs 5,000 will be provided in two installments, and for the second child, the benefit of Rs 6,000 will be provided after the birth in one installment, provided the second child is a girl.
