‘Aipani Aime Pinya Kali Paipoti’, aka paddy cultivation and farmland sports, was organised in a meaningful manner by the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy in collaboration with the Kannada and Culture department.
The event was hosted on a farmland in Napoklu and witnessed participation from the Kodava community.
The event was supported by the Nalknad Planters’ Club, the Biddtanda Family and the Kodava Samaj Cultural & Sports Association.
Virajpet MLA and the chief minister’s legal advisor, AS Ponnanna, inaugurated the event and asked the residents to continue the ancestral practice of paddy cultivation.
He encouraged the youngsters from the community to ensure the Kodava culture, ritual and practices are preserved and promoted.
