|June 02, 2025
PRIORITISING the welfare of animals vital to the Kedarnath pilgrimage, the Uttarakhand High Court has mandated a strict prohibition on the movement of horses and mules between sunset and sunrise on the arduous Char Dham Yatra route.
No horse or mule will henceforth be permitted to operate on the Kedarnath trail before dawn or after dusk.
District authorities have issued a stern warning, stating that any operator found flouting these new regulations will face immediate and stringent action.
