Guv: Govt mocking at Gandhi; Min: Charges factually wrong

Governor RN Ravi has blamed the DMK government for "mocking" at Mahatma Gandhi by observing his death anniversary in "a corner of a city (Egmore) museum" instead of Gandhi Mandapam in Guindy.
Strongly refuting the charges, Information Minister MP Saminathan said the governor's allegation is factually wrong and urged him to nurture communal harmony instead of politicizing the death anniversary of Gandhi.
Governor, in his official X handle, said, "My repeated requests to the Chief Minister to accord due respect to the Father of the Nation and hold such events in a befitting manner at the Gandhi Mandapam was met with stubborn refusal."
