Private Investment Key Driver for Growth in FY26

THE finance ministry in its monthly economic review has acknowledged the subdued growth in private investment in FY25, and has reiterated that domestic private investment will be an important driver of economic growth in FY26.
In its Monthly Economic review for February, the finance ministry has attributed the moderation in growth in private investment to global uncertainty, and has expressed hope that the proposed changes in the personal income tax structure and the 25-basis point policy rate cut in February would bolster growth momentum.
