Hold protest outside Patiala DC office, seek transfer of SSP over assault by police officials
THE family of Army Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath, who was allegedly assaulted by police officials along with his son over parking, on Saturday started a dharna outside the office of Patiala deputy commissioner, demanding a CBI inquiry into the incident and transfer of Patiala SSP Nanak Singh. Ex-servicemen from all over the state joined the protest. The Congress and BJP have also come in support of the family.
"We demand that the CBI inquire into the incident and Patiala SSP Nanak Singh be transferred. If the government accepts both these demands, we will lift the dharna," Jaswinder Kaur, wife of Col Bath, said at the dharna site.
