The Mananthavady police have arrested an autorickshaw driver who allegedly hit an elderly pedestrian, seriously injuring him, before fleeing the scene.
The accused, A V Hamsa, 49, a resident of Nalloornad, was taken into custody after a days-long investigation. His vehicle has also been seized.
