Secretary Detained Over Ration Shop Closure at Society Kudi

The tribal residents of Edamalakkudy panchayat on Thursday detained the secretary of the Girijan Service Society in protest against the one-week-long closure of the Society Kudi ration shop.
The secretary was accused of failing to supply rice and other essentials through the ration shop for several days, forcing villagers to return home empty-handed after long treks through dense forest.
