Jismol's death: Action council to escalate protest demanding CB probe

MORE than two months after the suicide of Jismol, a lawyer who took her own life along with her two children, the action council has decided to intensify protests demanding that the investigation into the incident be handed over to the Crime Branch.
As part of this, it will organise a march to Ettumanoor Police Station at 10am on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference in Kottayam on Monday, the action council office-bearers expressed their dissatisfaction with the current probe.
They said they were forced to organise public protest after the complaints they submitted with the district police superintendent, chief minister and DGP demanding a detailed investigation went unanswered.
