ELECTRONICS and IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday launched the IndiaAI compute portal and dataset platform AIKosha, as part of the IndiaAI Mission.
He said the compute portal will be used to develop India's own foundational model, with preparedness progressing well and 67 applications received. As per him, the portal will provide access to over 18,000 GPUs, cloud storage, and other AI services to students, start-ups, researchers, academia, and government departments.
