June 01, 2025

Foundation, Jyothis transitioned to mainstream education by launching its first CBSE-affiliated school in Kazhakuttom in 2004.

Over the next 15 years, Jyothis expanded steadily, establishing schools in Attingal and Varkala, laying the groundwork for what would become one of the most accepted educational institutions in the district. Today, the group comprises three Senior Secondary Schools—situated in Kazhakuttom, Attingal, and Varkala—and nine primary schools spread across Thiruvananthapuram.

A visionary leader with unwavering determination, S. Jyothis Chandran, Chairman of the Jyothis Group of Schools, has tirelessly navigated the challenges of educational leadership with clarity of purpose and relentless dedication. His name has become synonymous with success, grounded not only in remarkable achievements but also in profound wisdom. While not all wise individuals achieve success, and not all successful individuals possess wisdom, Jyothis Chandran uniquely embodies both, making him a rare and inspiring figure in today's world. Under his dynamic leadership, the Jyothis Group has witnessed steady expansion in both institutional presence and academic offerings across all its campuses.

Guided by his vision, over 700 dedicated staff members work cohesively to uphold the values and standards of the institution. His exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and inspire has been a driving force behind the consistent growth and academic excellence of Jyothis Group of schools. Today, Jyothis Group educates around 5,500 students, with Jyothis Central School Kazhakuttom alone enrolling over 3,000 students.
