Celebrating the Superhero Mothers
The New Indian Express Kochi
|May 14, 2025
Another Mother's Day has gone by. However, it is still important to honour those mothers who are the primary caregivers while raising children with developmental disabilities
"THE world's greatest fighter is a mother." This famous line from a movie might sound like a cliché, but when you reflect on the lives of mothers raising children with developmental disabilities, it rings with undeniable truth. These mothers fight battles that many of us can't even begin to imagine. Without surrendering to society's pity or criticism, they stand tall against stigma, against the limitations society places on their children, and above all, they fight for the potential they know their children possess.
Let's take a moment to honour these incredible women who are nothing short of superheroes.
