Varun Grover's first short film KISS landed on MUBI recently. The film, starring Adarsh Gourav, Swanand Kirkire, and Shubrajyoti Barat, is about a director's tussle with the members of a censor board who want to half the duration of a kissing sequence in the film.

ARYA'S Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, scripted by L2: Empuraan writer Murali Gopy, has been titled Ananthan Kaadu. On Monday, the makers unveiled the film's first-look poster and title teaser, showcasing glimpses of what seems to be a political action thriller. It is directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, who previously collaborated with Murali on the Prithviraj Sukumaran-Indrajith Sukumaran starrer Tiyaan.

Ananthan Kaadu also stars Murali, Telugu actor Sunil, Kannada actor Achyuth Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Regina Cassandra, Santhy Balachandran, Nikhila Vimal, Pani-fame Sagar Surya, Saritha Kukku, Indrans, Siddique, Renji Panicker and Appani Sarath, among others. The film has S Yuva wielding the camera, with Rohit V S Variyath handling the cuts. Notably, it marks the Malayalam debut of Kantara music director B Ajaneesh Loknath, who is also composing for the upcoming Antony Varghese-starrer Kattalan.

Ananthan Kaadu is produced by S Vinod Kumar of Mini Studio, who last backed the Vishal-SJ Suryah starrer Mark Antony.

Last seen in a cameo appearance in Madha Gaja Raja, Arya also has FIR director Manu Anand's upcoming Tamil film Mr. X as part of his upcoming slate.

LYRICIST, stand-up comedian and screenwriter Varun Grover's first short film KISS landed on MUBI recently. The film, starring Adarsh Gourav, Swanand Kirkire, and Shubrajyoti Barat, is about a director's tussle with the members of a censor board who want to half the duration of a kissing sequence in the film. That's not the whole problem. The issue is that each viewer's watch bears a different time stamp for the scene's duration.
