1st civilian death in Pak shelling in Punjab village

THE first civilian casualty outside Jammu and Kashmir in the recent Pakistani drone attacks is a 50-year-old woman from Punjab's Forezepur who succumbed to her burn injuries on Tuesday.

THREE Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists, including a top commander, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday—the first gunfight in the Union Territory after the armed forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' to dismantle terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

A police official said that acting on specific information about the presence of terrorists, a team of police, CRPF and Army launched a joint search operation in Shukroo forest area of the South Kashmir district in the morning.
