AS the bus strike stretched into its second day, life along the Kannur-Thottada-Thalassery route grew increasingly difficult for people who depend on private buses for their daily travel. Commuters, from students to workers, found themselves stranded or forced to seek expensive alternatives.

In light of the current issue, Kannur MP K Sudhakaran has written a letter to the district collector demanding immediate intervention by the district administration to end the private bus strike on the route.
