India closes airspace to Pak airlines

Amid escalating tensions with Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, India on Wednesday banned Pakistan airlines from using its airspace.
This will force Pakistani airlines to reroute flights, increasing their operational costs considerably.
"Indian airspace not available to Pakistan-registered aircraft and aircraft operated or leased by Pakistan airlines. These include military flights," read the NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by India.
The development comes a week after Pakistan barred Indian carriers from using its airspace.
