Dussehra festivities in Kannur district set to commence on September 23

THE Kannur Dussehra celebrations are set to begin on September 23, marking the start of a nine-day cultural gala that will run until October 1. Over the years, the grand festival has provided a stage for hundreds of artists from both within and outside Kerala.

This year's event — set to be inaugurated by Kannur MP K Sudhakaran — will feature performances of renowned artists. Adding to the festive spirit, the Kannur Corporation has introduced a 'Mega Lucky Draw' scheme to support traders in the region. Shop owners have been given coupons to distribute to their customers during the celebration. The coupons will be randomly selected and prizes will be handed out to the lucky winners on October 15.
