PLANNING plays an important role in shaping the future of the city. Unplanned growth leads to urban fragmentation. Therefore, it is essential to adopt the planning principle for the sustainable development of Kalaburagi city, said Shailender Singh, Joint Director, Kalaburagi Division, Urban Planning Department.
Participating in a three-day training programme organised for students, young professionals, urban planners and designers at PDA College, Kalaburagi, Singh said that new perspectives and ideas are needed to build a sustainable urban environment. He said that the youth should be involved in this, adding that Monsoon Studio is a platform for young minds to shape the future of Kalaburagi with sustainable solutions in urban mobility and development.
