A 17-year-old (minor) girl studying in I PUC stopped her marriage which was to be solemnised on June 15, said Humnabad Tahsildar Anjum Tabassum.
In an interview with TNIE on Thursday, Anjum Tabassum reported that the Child Helpline received a call from a girl at 6 am on Wednesday. The girl indicated that her family was making preparations for her wedding which was scheduled to take place on June 15 at their home in Nimbur village, Humnabad. She asked the authorities to come and prevent the wedding preparations.
