Residents of Koppal town, 20 villages will shift to other places, if govt permits steel plant

IT'S better to shift residents of Koppal town and 20 surrounding villages to elsewhere, if the state government allows setting up of Baldota steel plant, opine people of Koppal.
Koppal Bachao Andolana, other social organisations and residents of Koppal town are worried as Baldota steel plant has gone ahead with its work despite Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's instruction to stop it.
The CM on Friday during a visit to Hosapete said that they have asked for a survey report and they will decide about the steel plant after getting the report.
But, members of Koppal Bachao Andolana said that many surveys have been done and everybody knows that the big plant may come next to the DC's office compound in the town and it is clear that the plant will force many to shift from the town while the government is still awaiting report.
