Hampi Utsav Set To Kick Off Tomorrow, Minister Inspects Preparations

B Z Zameer Ahmad Khan, Minister for Housing, Waqf and Minority Affairs, who is also the Vijayanagara District In-Charge Minister, visited Hampi on Wednesday to inspect the ongoing preparatory work for Hampi Utsav which will be held from February 28 to March 2.
The minister held a series of meetings with the officials of the Vijayanagara district administration and local elected representatives during his visit.
With only a day left for the commencement of Hampi Utsav, which is one of the state's biggest cultural festivals, around 10 lakh people are expected to witness the three-day event. As a tribute to former Deputy CM M P Prakash who started the Hampi Utsav, the district administration has named a stage after him. An additional stage has also been added on the premises of Mahanavami Dibba monument.
