The Union government making mandatory Face Recognition System compulsory for providing 'Hot Cooked Meals' to children studying in Anganwadis and to beneficiaries of 'Take Home Ration' with effect from July 1, has irked Anganwadi Associations and other related organisations in different States.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Union government has written a letter to the Addl. Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Department of WCD of all the States, instructing to make mandatory FRS (Photo capturing & e-KYC) to provide Hot Cooked Food to the children in Anganawadis and Take Home Ration to other beneficiaries under ICDS Programme with effect from 1st July this year.
