Double Murder Accused Gets Life Imprisonment

SECOND Additional District and Sessions Court of Kalaburagi on Friday convicted an accused to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 in connection with a double murder case which took place at Dinasi (K) Thanda of Kalaburagi district on March 10, 2020, according to a press note issued by the public prosecutor here on Friday.
It has been said that the accused Mahesh s/o Subhash Rathod was in love with a minor and informed him about the incident to his family members. The family members approached the girl's family for a marriage proposal. However, the girl's father Maruti, also one of the victims, told them that their girl was a minor and that when she grows up, Mahesh could marry her.
Upset with the development, Mahesh molested the girl and fled to Mumbai.
