DKS Considers Raising Almatti Dam Height by 1 Metre as Suggested by Minister

DEPUTY Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said that he would consult the officials of his ministry to explore the possibility of increasing the height of Almatti dam by one metre to utilise at least 30 tmcft of water.
He was speaking after inaugurating several development works of Kolhar taluk at Kolhar town of Basavanabaewadi constituency represented by APMC Minister Shivanand Patil, on Friday.
He was reacting to the proposal submitted by Patil on raising of height to at least by one metre which will help in using at least 30 tmcft of state's share of Krishna River water.
