THE Belagavi city witnessed an overwhelming response to the Marathon organised on Sunday under the slogan "Our Police, Our Pride."

The event aimed to promote health and peace among the public and saw participation from locals, people from other states, and even foreign runners. The marathon began from the CPED Grounds.

In the 10-kilometre men's category, Aniket Shingaare secured the first position, followed by Sunil D in second and Chetan Kashyap in third. In the women's category, Vaishnavi Rawal claimed the top spot, with Akshata Majukar and Naksha Mangkar finishing second and third, respectively. The 5-kilometre men's race saw Tejas Nemade emerge as the winner, followed by Bhushan Kadam and Ganesh Hiroji. Among women, Apoorva Naik secured first place, with Srushti Juwekar and Anagha Shanbhag finishing second and third.
