For the first time after being in a coalition government for over two decades, the BJP secured the chief minister’s post, handing over Nitish Kumar’s baton to Samrat Choudhary.Choudhary, who served as deputy chief minister and held the crucial home portfolio in the previous Nitish Kumar cabinet, was chosen by the BJP’s top leadership to replace Kumar.. He is currently an MLA from the Tarapur assembly constituency in Munger district, a seat once represented by both his father and mother.
