JUSTICE Moushumi Bhattacharya of the Telangana High Court has directed the Regional Passport Officer, Secunderabad, to process and issue a passport for Zaynab Aaliya Mohammed, a four-year-old minor, represented by her mother and natural guardian Dr Sana Fatima.

The court set aside a contentious letter dated September 10, 2024, issued by the Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, which required consent from the child's father or permission from the court to issue the passport.
