Chairman of Karnataka State Food Commission directs officials to ensure cleanliness at food storage facilities
ACKNOWLEDGING that Karnataka Food Corporation's warehouses in Dharwad district are not secure and are plagued by poor hygiene and lack of technical standards, its chairman H Krishna stated that officials from the Department of Food and Civil Supplies have been asked to regularly visit hospitals, shops and food storage facilities to ensure quality and cleanliness.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Krishna mentioned that the records maintained under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu in some Raita Samparka were quite appreciable.
