A day ahead of foreign secretary Vikram Misri's official visit to Dhaka, six members of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Sunday submitted a memorandum to the Indian High Commission there, raising concerns against anti-Bangladesh incidents in its neighbourhood.

Misri will visit Dhaka on Monday to hold foreign office consultations with his counterpart. On Sunday, Bangladesh's foreign affairs adviser Md Touhid Hossain stressed again the need for improving relations with India.

The memorandum, submitted by members of the former prime minister Khalida Zia-led party, included incidents around Bangladesh's mission in Agartala and allegations of desecration of the country's flag.

The delegation had Central Jubo Dal president Monayem Munna, general secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, Swechchasebak Dal chief SM Jilani, its general secretary Rajib Ahsan, Chhatra Dal president Rakibul Islam Rakib, and its general secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
