Sterilisation of stray dogs under way in 33 wards of Dharmapuri municipality

IN the past 10 days, the Dharmapuri municipality has been catching stray dogs wandering in 33 wards to conduct Animal Birth Control (ABC) procedures. So far, over 70 dogs have been captured, treated, and released.
Residents are delighted by the municipality's recent initiative to identify and capture stray dogs wandering across the municipality for the ABC programme. Currently, the Dharmapuri municipality captures 20 dogs a day and administers anti-rabies vaccines (ARV), following which surgery is done to ensure birth control.
