Deputy CMs remain mum on imposition
AMID growing opposition to imposition of Hindi as third language in primary schools, the Maharashtra government has clarified that Hindi textbook reading and writing will not be made a part of the syllabus from classes 1 and 2.
Maharashtra education minister Dada Bhuse said on Thursday that there will be no Hindi language exam in primary schools. "In the first Class 1 and 2, the students will be taught Hindi through pictures, stories and songs in a playful way," he said.
