Hosur cab drivers hold protest against app-based service operated from K'taka

PROTESTING against app-based taxi services for providing services in Hosur and surrounding areas at a low cost, over 100 members of the Hosur Call Taxi Owners and Drivers Association staged a demonstration on Tuesday.
According to Association President S Nandagopal, "There are over 3,000 people in our association. For the past few months, an app-based taxi service, 'Red Taxi,' has been offering discounts to passengers. App-based services should not affect the lives of local taxi drivers and owners."
