Ban on coracle operations in Hogenakkal as inflow rises

THE district administration has called for another ban on tourism and coracle operations in Hogenakkal on Sunday, after inflow levels exceeded 20,000 cusecs.
Coracle operators are distressed by the frequent bans. On Sunday, District Collector R Sadheesh issued another ban on coracle operations after inflow in the Cauvery rose to 20,000 cusecs. Erratic rains in the Cauvery catchment areas have caused frequent bans on tourism.
